Joy has always believed her purpose is to help people see the beauty they already possess. What began as a passion for makeup artistry has evolved into a career defined by leadership, innovation, and the creation of a full-scale beauty brand in St. Louis.

Her journey began at Paul Mitchell The School St. Louis, where she discovered that beauty wasn’t just a profession — it was her calling.
At just 18, Joy secured a full-time position with M·A·C Cosmetics, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after artists in the region. Her exceptional skill and artistic vision led her into M·A·C’s Succession Program, where she trained alongside her Regional Trainer, mentored artists, and discovered her love for education.
Joy’s career expanded when she was promoted and relocated to Dallas, Texas to help design, manage, and open the first M·A·C PRO Store & Bumble and Bumble Hair Studio Concept Store — the company’s first location merging both hair and makeup services in one space.
After more than a decade of industry experience, she returned to St. Louis ready to build something bigger than herself.

Under Joy’s creative leadership and her partner Noelle’s execution-driven “go button” energy, the brand has grown into a multifaceted beauty ecosystem serving everyday clients, commercial and editorial work, influencers, bridal parties, and major creative projects across the region.
Joy was recognized as one of St. Louis Magazine’s Top 3 Makeup Artists year after year — recognition that preceded the expansion of The Artist Edit into what many now consider the area’s premier beauty studio.
